#11 Residential Photos

The second home I designed.....strong horizontal lines, tied together with a two-story vertical entry, and small courtyard. This house is about fifty years old. When it had just been completed, I remember standing in front of the owner.  I was so proud of my work, (remember this was only my second home) and the owner was telling me how wonderful I was, and it all went to my head. I stood on the edge of the front cantilevered reinforced concrete entry steps and jumped up and down to show him how strong the steps were. The problem was the concrete had not completely cured, and my jumping caused a hairline crack. I have not seen this house in many years, but I imagine that little hairline crack is still there.
