I designed and built this home for my own family. The property was a landscape nursery back in the 20's, and it still had many specimen palm and oak trees growing wild. Since the excitement of this site would be living among the trees, I designed a three-story tree house...with rooms and balconies cantilevered into the branches. So close to nature...what a joyful place to live. The same simple materials were used both inside and

out: Exposed concrete block, and cedar shingles.
